GracePointe Community Church Spends Weekend in McCreary County Leading Mission Effort

Members of GracePointe Community Church in Mt. Washington spent a weekend in McCreary County working with KBF Partners Jim and Rita Cmolik of Hills and Hollers Ministries.

Pastor Tim Doremus had this to say about the group’s experience:

“We had a great time.  We took 12 people on the trip.  While we were there, we worked on the house of Marty, Becky, and Allie.  It is a set of grandparents and their granddaughter.  We put up house wrap, siding and soffit.  In addition, another group of our people organized donated items (some by GracePointe, some by others) and hosted a “Day of Sharing” on Saturday.  People from the community came and collected clothes, coats, and hygiene items.  All of our people had a great time serving and each individual said they couldn’t wait to come back!  We will be going back in the spring for another short trip…and I expect that we will have a larger group going.  Additionally, we also raised $1000 to pay for the materials for the project.
Jim and Rita have been great to work with.  The mission house is a wonderful place to stay.  I highly recommend Hills and Hollers Ministry.”
